Palestinian Soap
This olive oil based soap has been made traditionally since the 10th century.
Made only with olive oil, water, and lye, it is the most pure soap on the planet and a predecessor of the popular Marseille and Castile soaps from France (but this is the original!) It is healthy for the skin, good for sensitive skin, and famous for the purity of its olive oil.
Brought to us by the Palestinian Soap Cooperative, "The Olive” variety is certified organic and made by a traditional soap making family, one of the oldest in Palestine, dating to the 1600s. "Al'Ard" (the Land) is made by the Women's Soap Co-operative of Beita which gives opportunity to a community with few options for economic development. We hope you love these special soaps as much as we do!
